Technical translation

A technical translation is necessary when the texts to be translated are geared toward a certain industry and, hence, have specific terminology, as in the case of manuals, technical specifications, medicine directions for use, industrial documents, guides, standards and other materials.

A technical translation doesn’t necessarily have to be a certified translation; however, if the translation is for official purposes, then it must be done by a certified translator who is a specialist in that particular area.

The technical translator in charge of the service must be knowledgeable and familiarized with the expressions of the field. Korn Translations has a well-qualified team of technical translators in a wide variety of segments, including:

  • Food and Beverages
  • Ecology
  • Economy
  • Electronics
  • Energy
  • Engineering
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Marketing
  • Mechanics

  • Chemistry
  • Human Resources
  • Insurance and Reinsurance
  • Automotive Industry
  • Port Industry
  • Steelmaking

The fees for certified technical translations are determined by a price schedule issued by JUCESP (Commercial Registry of the State of São Paulo), which governs certified translators.
